Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 August 2026

About this document. These Terms govern your use of the Tasmin website (tasmin.ai) and the Tasmin application and service. By creating an account or using Tasmin, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@tasmin.ai. Please also read our Privacy Policy, our Trial, Credits, Refunds & Cancellation Policy and, where you use Tasmin to process your customers’ personal data, our Data Processing Agreement — all three form part of these Terms.

1. Who we are & acceptance

Tasmin (“Tasmin”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Tasmin Teoranta, a company registered in Ireland under number 821803, with its registered office at 55 Parnell Street, Waterford, X91 X278, Ireland. By accessing or using Tasmin you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use Tasmin on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

1A. Data protection — our roles

Tasmin acts as the data controller for your own account data, and as a data processor acting on your instructions for the personal data of your customers that we process so you can run your marketing (for example, your subscribers’ email addresses). You are the controller of that customer data. This processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, which is incorporated into these Terms and meets the requirements of Article 28 of the GDPR. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any required consent for the customer data you bring into or collect through Tasmin.

2. What Tasmin is

Tasmin is an AI-powered marketing automation service for online shops on Shopify. It drafts and schedules marketing content — email, social posts, blog articles, and search/listing copy — in your brand voice, and connects to the marketing platforms you choose (such as Google, Meta and Pinterest) to read your data and, on your approval, publish content on your behalf. Tasmin is a tool that assists you; you remain responsible for what you publish.

3. Accounts & eligibility

You sign in through Shopify. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your access secure. You must be at least 16 years old and use Tasmin for business purposes. You must own or be authorised to manage every store and platform account you connect to Tasmin; you must not connect accounts you do not control.

4. Your connected accounts & authorisation

When you connect a third-party account, you authorise Tasmin to access it and act on your behalf within the scopes you grant, solely to provide the features you enable — for example, reading your Search Console and Analytics data, reading store data, and publishing content you approve to your Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest or Shopify accounts. You can revoke this access at any time by disconnecting the integration in Tasmin or from the platform’s own settings. Your use of each connected platform remains subject to that platform’s own terms.

5. AI-generated content & your approval

Content produced by Tasmin is generated by AI from the inputs you provide. Tasmin works on an approve-then-publish basis: blog posts, social posts and emails are drafted into a queue and are not published or sent until you approve that item. Turning a channel off stops new drafts being written; it does not retract a publication you have already approved.

The one exception is the optional SEO Automation add-on. If you buy and enable it, Tasmin will write a search title or description, or a collection description, straight to your store where that field is currently empty — filling a blank rather than changing your own words — without asking you first. Anything that would overwrite existing text, and anything Tasmin's own fact-check flags, is queued for your review instead. Disabling the add-on stops it. By enabling it you authorise Tasmin to make those changes on your behalf.

You are responsible for reviewing content before it goes out and for ensuring it is accurate, lawful and appropriate for your audience. AI output can contain errors or omissions; we do not warrant that generated content is accurate, original, or will achieve any particular marketing result. As between you and Tasmin, the content you create and approve is yours.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Tasmin for anything illegal, deceptive, infringing, or abusive, or to send unlawful or unsolicited messages;
  • email people who have not consented to hear from you, or import contact lists you do not have permission to email;
  • use Tasmin in a way that violates the terms of any connected platform (including Shopify, Google, Meta and Pinterest);
  • attempt to access another customer’s account or data, or any part of the service you are not authorised to use;
  • probe, disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent the security of the service; or
  • resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted.

7. Trial, plans, credits & billing

Every new store starts on a free trial of 14 days with 100 credits and no card required. The trial is your evaluation period: it is there so you can use Tasmin on your own store before you pay for it. Unspent trial credits expire when the trial ends. At the end of the trial, access to the tools stops until you choose a plan — your data is kept, not deleted (see Section 12 and our Trial, Credits, Refunds & Cancellation Policy).

Paid plans include a monthly allowance of credits, which are consumed by AI-powered actions, plus optional top-ups. Plan details, prices and credit costs are shown in the app and may change; we will give notice of material changes, and the in-app details are the current source of truth for pricing. Paid plans are billed through Shopify’s billing.

Credits are consumable service, not stored value. They reset each month: on your renewal date your allowance is restored in full and anything left over from the month before does not carry into the new month. Credits, once purchased, are non-refundable — they represent service delivered when they are used — and they cannot be exchanged for cash. Top-ups are non-refundable once purchased and remain usable until spent.

You may cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment; your access and your remaining credits run to the end of the period you have already paid for, and lapse at the end of it. There is no immediate cut-off and no further charge.

The full trial, refund, cancellation and withdrawal terms — including what happens to your work if you do not subscribe, and the position on the statutory right of withdrawal — are set out in our Trial, Credits, Refunds & Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms and forms part of them.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your store data, your brand materials, and the content you create and approve through Tasmin. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service for you (for example, to process your inputs and store and publish content on your instruction). Tasmin, its software, and its brand are owned by us; these Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service, and nothing here transfers our intellectual property to you.

9. Third-party platforms & AI providers

Tasmin relies on third-party platforms and providers (including Shopify, Google, Meta, Pinterest, our AI provider Anthropic, and our email and hosting providers). We are not responsible for those services, their availability, or their decisions (for example, how a platform ranks, displays or moderates your content). Your use of connected platforms is governed by their own terms.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI-generated content will be accurate, or that using Tasmin will produce any specific marketing, traffic, ranking or sales result.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tasmin will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Termination

You may stop using Tasmin and close your account at any time, including by uninstalling the app in Shopify. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by a platform or by law, or if continuing would create risk to the service or other users. On termination, your right to use the service ends, and we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy (Section 8 — Data retention & deletion) and, for customer data we process on your behalf, our Data Processing Agreement, including removing connected-account tokens and deleting or de-identifying your data.

Ending a trial is not termination. If your trial ends and you do not choose a plan, access to the tools stops but your data is kept for 90 days after your trial ends and then permanently deleted. Subscribe within that window and your content, settings, brand voice and history are all still there. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time. This window is set out in our Trial, Credits, Refunds & Cancellation Policy (Section 8) and in the retention periods listed in our Privacy Policy (Section 8).

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date above; material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continuing to use Tasmin after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law gives you other rights.
